Microsoft has created an operating system for GPS navigators. It is called Windows Embeded Navread 2009, the corporation’s press release says.

Of course, Microsoft's relevant services are built into the system: search Live Search and cartographic Microsoft Earth. In addition, it will be possible to find out about traffic jams through MSN Direct (this applies to Western countries).

Devices based on Windows Embeded Navread 2009 will receive Bluetooth support and Sideshow technology (operates in Windows Vista). Sideshow, recall, allows you to use portable devices as screens to display any necessary information.

Microsoft promises users a familiar interface and compatibility with other products of the corporation.

It is expected that the new operating system will appear in navigators at the end of 2008.
