Times: Gordon Brown can be shifted from his post in two months

The head of the UK government, Gordon Brown, was faced with a coup attempt in his own office of ministers, writes London Times . With reference to his own sources, the newspaper writes that most of the key ministers of his government prepared an ultimatum to the Prime Minister.

Its essence boils down to the following: either Brown in two months returns the trust of most voters (i.e., he achieves an increase in the rating of the ruling Labor Party to at least a 30 percent level), or he is waiting for a "full-scale uprising among ministers."

Party functionaries will be ready to raise the question of changing the party leader, ”the newspaper writes.

One of the members of the Cabinet of Ministers (his name does not name Times) said in an interview with the correspondent of the publication that the prime minister will be asked to declare the Ultimatum as Minister of Justice Jack Str. In the event that Brown refuses to accept it, other ministers "will be ready to lead the coup."

The publication gives the names of the possible successors of Brown as the party leader, one of which is called the current foreign minister of the United Kingdom David Miliband. Currently, the newspaper writes, the rating of the Labor Party does not exceed 26 percent.
