According to representatives of the Japanese media, the new Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback hatchback , whose premiere is outlined on the Paris car dealership in October this year, will not be the last Lancer that will enter the market.

Apparently, the company is preparing to release closer to 2010 a small Lancer Sportback X, the basis of which will be the hatchback of the same name.

According to the image of the future new Mitsubishi news, published in one of the Japanese publications, we can make an assumption that outwardly it will resemble the Audi Allroad and Subaru Outback.

According to preliminary information, the car will receive a full -wheel drive system, which is now installed on the "hot" Lancer Evolution of the nine generation. Under the hood, probably, there will be either a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 109 hp, or a 143-horsepower engine with a volume of 1.8 liters. The top version of Sportback X will be equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged engine from Lancer Ralliate with a capacity of 240 hp, the wheel portal reports.

According to Drom.ru , the presented crossover is characterized by increased road clearance, the presence of metal panels to protect the body, new cast discs and an updated radiator grille.
