The new real estate tax will lower the prices for the "secondary" - expert

The introduction of real estate tax, which will be calculated from the market rather than cadastral value, can reduce prices in the secondary housing market, says Elena Kornetova, leading consultant of the consulting department of Finexpertiza LLC. Her words are quoted by Rosbalt agency.

Recall that yesterday, August 26, the State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Sergey Shatalov announced that since 2011 it is planned to introduce real estate tax in Russia, which will be calculated based on the market value of the object, and not from the cadastral. According to the official, for the introduction of such a tax, "to do a huge work to create registers of real estate and owners of these objects." As Shatalov added, the constituent entities of the Russian Federation will be able to introduce this tax as they are ready, establishing their own benefits and preferences.

As Kornetova explains, a balance of interests of the state and socially unprotected sections of the population should be observed to implement this plan.
