The daughter of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, Vitalina Yushchenko, will appear as a model at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, according to the website of the Segodnya newspaper.

27-year-old Vitalina will present the spring-summer 2009 collection of Ukrainian designer Aina Gase. Gase's clothes are worn, in particular, by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and her daughter Evgenia Carr. Most likely, Yushchenko's daughter will demonstrate light summer dresses in Milan.

The founder of the Miss CIS beauty contest and the Paparazzi magazine, Walid Arfush, told reporters that at Milan Fashion Week, judges evaluate primarily the quality of clothes, not models. He noticed that the daughter of former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin , once speaking in Milan, changed her last name so that she would not be perceived as a relative of a famous politician. “I hope that Vitalina will behave there like a model, and not like the president’s daughter,” said Arfush.
