Venezuela President will make a brief visit to Moscow next week

Venezuela President Hugo Chavez said that, at the invitation of the Russian leadership, he would visit Moscow in the middle of next week. Chavez explained that after the planned visit to the PRC will make a stop in the Russian capital, ITAR-TASS reports.

He noted that in Moscow "bilateral agreements on cooperation in the energy, scientific and technological fields will be signed."

Chavez highly appreciated the results of the representative Russian delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Sechin, who had ended on the same day to Venezuela. “Particular significance” is the fact that the Russian Deputy Prime Minister visited Venezuela after a visit to Cuba, and then went to Nicaragua, ”he pointed out.

“Russia comes here (in Venezuela) with an open heart,” Chavez emphasized.

The president noted that "while the rest of the world is experiencing an economic and banking crisis," Russia and Venezuela "agree on the creation of a joint bank."

"Russia restores the status of a world power, convincingly demonstrating that not every power is turning into an empire, who has been settled against the whole world," the Venezuelan president pointed out.
