Vnukovo Airport Parking operator was fined 1.8 million rubles for high prices

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) fined 1.79 million rubles of Vnukovo-Invest CJSC, which runs the parking lot of the Moscow Airport "Vnukovo", the service said.

According to the FAS, the violation of the antimonopoly legislation by the Vnukovo-Invest was expressed in the establishment of a monopoly high price for the cost of the service of paid parking and infringing on the interests of customers by imposing unprofitable payment conditions. We are talking about setting prices for parking services with rounding of the time of stay to an hour, RIA Novosti reports.

In July of this year, the FAS fined the operators of parking and two largest Moscow airports Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo: BRK Invest Limited (Sheremetyevo) and Domodedovo Aerotel CJSC 2.7 million rubles and 11.05 million rubles, respectively.

Such conclusions were made on the basis of the results of the audit carried out at the request of citizens. Drivers complained about high prices and obligations to pay for an incomplete hour of using parking as a full.

Then representatives of the Domodedovo Airport said that their parking tariffs correspond to the average market - one hour costs from 50 to 150 rubles, a day - 400 rubles. They confirmed that the incomplete hour of parking is paid as full, adding that the first 15 minutes of parking are free, and, as the study conducted by the airport showed, 60% of the customers filed in this period.

Sheremetyevo reported that 150-200 rubles were charged for parking. The representative of the Vnukovo press service, in turn, said that the hour of parking in their parking lot costs 150 rubles, a day - 500 rubles, and the first 15 minutes are also free.

The largest Moscow airports also offer their customers to use free parking. True, such parking lots are quite far from the terminals - a kilometer from Sheremetyevo and 7 kilometers from the Domodedovo terminal.

According to experts, at the expense of parking, airports earn impressive additional income. If the FAS forces them to reduce tariffs, the prices for flights can increase, they say.
