Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev denied rumors about his own death in the most effective way: he appeared in the video that publishes the site Life.ru. Rumors about the poor state of health and even the death of the president went on September 12, they were the first to publish on their blog the former press secretary of Shaimiev Irek Murtazin.

The video from Turkey, which appeared on Wednesday evening on the Internet, is not possible: Shaimiev in the Hawaiian shirt and blue shorts reproaches the journalists: “You, you guys have not had time, a little! The funeral has long passed!”, Laughs in the voice and tells how he sails three kilometers a day. The President of Tatarstan claims to feel great.

However, the interview of Shaimiev attracts attention not by content, but by the very fact of the appearance: so far his press service has refuted rumors only in words. On Monday, Mintimer Shaimiev for unknown reasons did not leave vacation, and on Thursday did not take part in the meeting of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin with the heads and representatives of regional organizations of United Russia.

“He is resting until September 28,” the secretary of the regional political council of United Russia, the chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, told reporters on Thursday.

Recall that the Investigative Department of the SCP of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan opened a criminal case on the fact of the distribution of false information on the death of the President of Tatarstan.
