The Government of the Russian Federation will allocate to beneficiaries for drugs an additional 10 billion rubles this year


Ten billion rubles will be additionally allocated this year to provide Russian beneficiaries with the necessary drugs. This was announced today at a press conference on the improvement of medicinal policy, the head of the Department of Farmrynka and the Medical Medical Technical Department of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia Diana Mikhailova.

In the federal budget for the program for providing the necessary drugs in 2008, an amount of 30 billion rubles was provided. Mikhailova assured that additional allocations would amount to 10 billion rubles, ITAR-TASS reports.

According to her, this will help to level the deficiency of drugs that formed by the end of this year.

She also said that in 2009, it is planned to allocate additional financing in the amount of 12 billion rubles for the program for providing the necessary drugs.

From the new year, a new list of drugs under the program for providing the necessary drugs will be put into effect. “It has not been reviewed since September 2006. It was caused by the fact that a number of drugs were outdated, a large dossier about possible side effects has accumulated in a series, new drugs appear that successfully replace previous generations,” the representative of the Ministry of Health said. According to her, all regions of Russia have already been acquainted with this list.
