Lokomotiv mentor is pleased with Nielson's debut in the team

The head coach of the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv Kari Hakekil positively appreciated the debut in the Continental Hockey League, a lot of Swedish striker Nielson played in the National Hockey League (NHL), RIA Novosti reports.

The first match of the experienced striker for Lokomotiv fell on the game with the Moscow CSKA, which turned out for railway workers, the first home defeat in the season (1: 2). The army team won thanks to the Blue of the ex-player of the Yaroslavls Anton Buta at the 16th second of overtime.

“In his first match, Nielson looked quite normal, but he certainly still needs time to adapt,” Haikkil said at the post -match press conference.

The Finnish specialist also called the reason for the defeat of his wards. In his opinion, the players could not achieve a positive result due to the weak implementation of the assimilation moments.

“One goal for the game is very, very few. We started the meeting well and in the third period we had a huge number of moments. It was necessary to score,” the Yaroslavl mentor emphasized.

CSKA head coach Vyacheslav Bykov believes that luck in this match was on the side of his wards.

“With Lokomotiv, we always get interesting and stubborn matches, regardless of where they are taking place in Moscow or Yaroslavl. We are very glad that today we have to give tribute to the opponent, in the third period the owners pressed us, they had a lot of assault moments, but luck, fortunately, was on our side,” said Bykov.

The mentor of CSKA recalled that his team did not have the two previous fights too well, and the more valuable, in his opinion, the victory in Yaroslavl became for the army.

“We could not take points either in Cherepovets or in St. Petersburg, although the team played, we saw the game - this is a positive factor. And the fact that today we took two points, this suggests that the team has both character and internal rod,” Bykov emphasized.
