Chinese products containing milk powder have now banned in Tatarstan

In Tatarstan, Chinese products containing milk powder were banned for sale. 20 batches of flour confectionery of Chinese production containing milk powder, one batch of cream substitute from Thailand, as well as three batches of confectionery production of China and South Korea, were removed from the sale, Interfax reports with reference to the press secretary of the Rospotrebnadzor Office for Tatarstan Elvir Mirolyubov.

According to her, the reason for the ban is the lack of information about the composition in Russian and certificates confirming their quality and the safety of these products. The total weight of the seized products was 157 kg.

The checks were carried out from the beginning of October at 400 enterprises of Tatarstan - in wholesale and retail stores, in cafes and restaurants, in the food industry. This work continues, the representative of Rospotrebnadzor noted.

“14 samples were removed from the goods withdrawn from the sale, not melamine was detected in any of them,” Mirolyubova said.

She explained that the Office of Rospotrebnadzor pays increased attention of Chinese goods due to massive cases of the disease of the urolithiasis of children in China, which consumed milk milk containing melamine.

Recall, the Melamin scandal in China erupted after thousands of children who suffered from feeding with hazardous milk mixtures began to enter the hospitals. Later it turned out that Melamin was contained in products of 22 enterprises, including in cheese milk, yogurts, ice cream, sweets, sold, including outside of mainland China.

The Russian Rospotrebnadzor has already banned more than a thousand names of Chinese products containing milk. Only during the day it became known that in the Kirov, Amur regions and Karachay-Cherkessia, products are removed from the sale, which include Chinese-made milk, and are sent for examination. Previously, "poisoned" Chinese products were found in the Khabarovsk Territory and Tomsk .

The ban on some products with milk from China was also introduced by the European Union.
