They gave me a prize in Cannes, because the film was made from the heart - very honestly. From different people I heard a lot about the fact that my film was noticed because it was originally aimed at foreign festivals. That he is about how we like here we live poorly. But I am responsible for my films for my films (I will have a retirement).
Inhale - and exhale
I am very serious about my work. And I shot the film not for the festival, but for the viewer. In Europe, of course, I will receive a more cheerful viewer, because my film is good, positive, at the end of it there is an inhalation - and exhale. And there the viewer goes to the cinema to understand, rejoice and, probably, relax more.
When people left the hall after showing in Cannes, many cried and said “thank you very much”. And no one asked us: "Are you there, do you live so wretchedly?" After all, they have the same thing with adolescents. It seems to me that in any country in the world, a teenager, trying to find himself, passes through different circles of hell.
Our people go to sessions to get angry. I read a bunch of reviews and see that everything is wrong with them! And they do not need an “admiral”, and “everyone will die, but I will stay” they also do not need. They have James Bond in a variety of versions ... And in my LiveJournal, in my space, they write some kind of crap like "Who needs your nonsense." They are already unhappy with the film trailer ... And what will happen later? I am waiting for the premiere and right ... Ahhh! I am very nervous! I bought myself dresses for all kinds of events and I'm afraid of everything ...
In general, I shot with an open soul for everyone. And there was no hill in this.
I fall in love with a new one
Growing up is a personal factor, a property of character. Someone is growing up, having survived the drama, the other from great happiness. For example, because his child was born. But for me it is all useless, I am constantly in a stable state. I can’t break off from anything! When a year ago was left alone, pregnant, and there was not a soul around, I thought it was my limit, my end. But again I fall in love with a new one! Everything is stable!
Without a magnifier
Gilyarovsky said that to know the culture of some city or country, it is necessary to go not to the Louvre, but to the gateway. And to show the culture of our country, Gilyarovsky descended to the trick 1 . He knew what he was talking about and did it objectively. And some of our directors, seemingly starting from this maxim, do it differently. They say: “I was there and looked at them through a magnifying glass. And now you are watching how they live there. ” Do you understand what I'm talking about?
Director-historian
When we make a movie about our days, we are partly historians. Only some films will remain, but about others will forget. Previously, when I was very young, I thought: “If now they don’t take me to one or this festival, I’ll go to McDonald's floors. Since I don’t know how to make a movie, it remains to wash the floors. ” It turned out that I can shoot a movie. And I will continue to do it. And the main difficulty in shooting a feature cinema is that in our country there are a lot of unprofessional people. You set them the task and say one thing, and they make absolutely different. And not because I explain the wrongly. But there were no problems with the actors - on the contrary, paradise. A symbol of time-I have not been adjusted to someone recently, but they are adjusted to me. And what happens is normal, usually. It should be so. This is not the result of what I did, this is the result of my attitude. Since childhood, it seemed to me that the sun revolves around me. The night comes when the sun behind me, and the day is the sun before my eyes. I am a solipsist. If next to me is a person with the same attitude as mine, then the main thing is to breathe synchronously with him. So that we have the sun at the same moment before our eyes ... Then everything will be fine.
In general, you know, a person tends to be an egoist. And for me, a symbol of today's time is me ... I thought that after how much I did in a year, I could relax and just, damn it, enjoy life. But you have to work again. But I will never impose this symbol to anyone.
There is happiness!
In the film “Everyone will die, and I will stay” there is a moment of happiness. Happiness is your personal experience, subjective. For some, happiness is that everyone was at home, for someone-at the age of 14 to go and get drunk in such a way as to understand what it is ... For me, happiness at the age of 14 is to be heard in my loneliness, understood by others. And now happiness is more inside me. This is the path of one’s own improvement, self -knowledge ...
Absolute happiness is love. This is great. But we must manage to find love in this world. Sometimes it seems to me that you need to spend a million years on finding your love. And I am most concerned about this question - more than the problems of cinema in Russia.
Valery Guy Germanicus
Born in 1984 in Moscow. In 2005 she graduated from the School of Films and Television "Internyus" (head of the course Marina Razbuzhkina). The first film was shot at 19 years old. Gaia called her a grandmother, who loved the story of Ancient Rome. This year, Germanicus gave birth to her daughter Octavia.
