After Ukraine, children in Georgia suffered from the Indian vaccine. Officials assure that "fright" brought them to the hospital

Several Tbilisi schoolchildren went to the hospital the day before after they were vaccinated with measles and Indian rubella vaccine. Children were hospitalized with headaches, dizziness and high blood pressure just a couple of hours after the standard procedure, which is carried out throughout Georgia, RIA Novosti reports. In May of this year, the vaccine of the same Indian manufacturer was removed from use in Ukraine: more than 90 people then turned to doctors for help, and one teenager died.

The vaccine, because of which they suffered in Ukraine, and now in Georgia, is produced by the Indian Institute of serums. According to Levan Baidashvili, the head of the Infectious Diseases Service of the National Center for Diseases and Public Health, Georgia has been acquired by vaccines from this organization since 1996. However, other vaccines were previously used, and this one was imported into the country for the first time.

"This world -famous organization, whose products fully satisfy the high requirements of the World Health Organization," said Baidashvili.

According to the official, the cause of children entering the hospital was not a reaction to the medicine, but a panic fear of injections.

“The children had no reaction to the vaccine. This condition was caused by fear caused by medical procedures. It was a panic attack,” Baidashvili said.

He also emphasized that only eight children were hospitalized, and not 12 or more, as television companies were transferred. All victims were students of two schools. The two were released home after two hours later, a little later the other children left the hospital. Only one child who complained about nausea left the hospital on Tuesday morning.

According to RIA Novosti, in addition to Georgia and Ukraine, in 2008, the indoor -made vaccine and Indian trials were used in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Moldova. In Brazil, more than 62 million people took such vaccination.
