President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko claims that significant progress has been achieved in the case of his poisoning. About this, as ITAR-TASS reports, he told reporters.
"There is progress. I am highly appreciated by the work that the Prosecutor General is doing now," Yushchenko said. At the same time, he noted that the "three key persons involved" in the case of his poisoning are currently in Russia, and without their interrogation, but, possibly, and not only interrogation, "the answer will be more complicated.
“I am sure that from the point of view of the responsibility of the people who stood behind this crime, there will be an answer,” the president said. He stated that he wants to share this optimism with both journalists and ordinary citizens of Ukraine.
"We need to deal with these criminals and do everything necessary in order to maintain the work of law enforcement agencies," the President of Ukraine said.
Yushchenko’s third visit to the Main Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office has already been held in the last three months in the case of his poisoning. Earlier, Yushchenko said that during the 2004 presidential campaign he was poisoned, as the doctors were established by dioxin. The investigation of the criminal case of poisoning has not yet been completed.
