The number of seizures of real estate due to deprivation of debtors of the right to buy it, in view of the inability to pay on a mortgage loan in the United States by 25% over the past month in relation to last year. This is stated in the Report of RealtyTrac, which quotes the K2kapital agency.
In relation to September, the number of property returned to banks and auctions of real estate increased by 5% and amounted to 279561 cases. Thus, every 452nd family in the United States received a notification of seizure.
The exception was California, where the state government took special measures that protect mortgage debtors from bankruptcy. Cornses and borrowers are prescribed to negotiate in advance about measures to avoid the selection of houses. This led to a reduction in seizures by 18% in October with respect to September.
Nevertheless, analysts say that such temporary measures will not be able to turn the situation and many Californians will still have to part with their homes, as it was in Maryland and Massachusetts, where similar laws acted.
By the number of seizures among the states, Nevada, Arizona and Florida are leading.
To correct the situation, the federal government adopted a law according to which those debtors whose monthly payments exceed 38% of income will be able to count on reducing payments if they are customers of the two largest mortgage companies Fannie MAE and Freddie Mac.
