British robbers brutally beat the 89-year-old veteran of World War II and his wife

According to police, 89-year-old Bob Chofild was at home with his wife in the village of Saltfort (County Lancashir) when robbers made their way to them at night. The war veteran tried to intervene for his wife, but the criminals brutally beat him and left him in a pool of blood.

“This terrible crime has been committed in relation to an elderly and defenseless couple in their own house,” said the leading investigation by the police inspector Dave Grumsbridge.
