
The KamAZ football club from Naberezhnye Chelny is waiting for official papers confirming his transition to the Premier League in connection with the outlined formation of a vacant place in it.
“We are waiting for. But the papers on additional licensing from the Premier League or from the Russian Federation have not yet been received,” the club’s press service quotes Reuters .
Recall that KamAZ, according to the results of the last season, took third place in the first division, losing trips to the elite division of Russian football of the Krasnodar Kuban and Rostov.
Now KamAZ can take a vacant place in the Premier League, freed after the unification of Saturn and Khimki near Moscow. The corresponding rotation is provided for by the regulations of the championship.
The merger of these two clubs on Tuesday was officially announced by the press service of the Government of the Moscow Region. The President of the RFU and the Minister of Sports of Russia Vitaly Mutko promised to quickly understand the current situation.
"I am studying the situation now, I should have a telephone conversation with the governor of the Moscow Region Boris Gromov," Mutko said on Tuesday Interfax .
According to him, the information about the association "is still confirmed." At the same time, sources in the RFU informed the agency that last night the authorities of the Moscow Region denied the possibility of combining two football clubs, but in the morning of today they changed their position.
