
The artist died at the 85th year of her life on Tuesday evening after a long illness. Valentina Kropyvnitskaya and her husband Oscar Rabin belonged to the Lianozovo School, which was founded by Evgeny Kropyvnytsky, an outstanding artist and poet, Valentina's father, the Moscow Komsomolets reports.
Kropyvnitskaya was born in Moscow on February 16, 1924. I studied painting with my father and at the district art school. Taking part in the semi -official, unofficial and foreign exhibitions since 1966, the artist won the fame of a long -term graphic cycle in the technique of pencil monochrome drawing.
In 1978, Kropyvnytskaya, together with her husband, famous artist Oscar Rabin, and emigrated to Paris from the USSR to her son.
In 2007 at the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin was an exhibition of the artist’s works, at which the works of her husband and son Alexander Rabin, who died tragically in the mid-80s, were also presented.
