
Moscow left -wing activists on Monday will conduct a picket of Mosgortrans in protest against the next increase in tariffs for travel in public transport. This was on the air "Echo of Moscow" said the press secretary of the Left Front Anastasia Udaltsova.
Participants in the action will demand a meeting with the leadership of Mosgortrans to transfer their requirements to him. Activists believe that in connection with the rapid development of the economic crisis, it is necessary to freeze the growth of energy, transport and other tariffs in order to support Russian citizens. The picket will pass under the slogans: "There is no growth of tariffs," "pay 22 rubles yourself." The action is authorized by the prefecture of the Central Administrative District.
According to the Moscow Energy Commission, the cost of a ticket for one trip in the Moscow Metro will be 22 rubles from January 1. The cost of one trip by bus, trolley or tram will increase from 17 rubles to 20 rubles, while the cost of the ticket will not change and will remain at 25 rubles.
