In St. Petersburg, the anarchists held an action against raising public transport prices, Kasparov.ru reports.

About 40 participants in the promotion in Maski Zaitsev entered the Sportivnaya metro station. Having jumped over the turnstiles, they went downstairs and began to distribute leaflets on the upcoming increase in transport prices. At the same time, they chanted “no prices” and the guitar sang the song “But we don’t care” from the movie “Diamond hand”.

Moving from the car to the car, the activists drove several stations, campaigning citizens "not to pay for travel until the price for it is fair." On the "Square of Alexander Nevsky" they left the metro and repeated the same operation on Nevsky Prospekt, driving on several trolleybuses and buses. The action lasted more than two hours. No one was detained.

“Public transport today is a means for grozing money from the population, this is its main function,” the leaflet’s text says, “paying for travel in public transport, we help officials to plunder the budget even more. The transport should be affordable, since its task is not to ensure a comfortable old age for a bunch of officials, but to transport people. To become a hare - our debt!”

January 1 in St. Petersburg is increasing for travel in public transport. A token on the subway will cost 20 rubles, a bus ticket, a tram and a trolley - 18 rubles.
