The name of Medov is associated with the murder of the Ingush oppositionist Magomed Evloev .

At two in the afternoon, at the monument to Griboedov on Chistoprudny Boulevard, about ten people lined up in a row and launched posters. The picketers called on the public and the authorities to pay attention to who they are accepted into a high position in the central apparatus of the Ministry of the Interior. “Nurgaliev, carefully, in the neighboring office of the Medov killer”, “General Medov - shame of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, “The path of Medov: from the veterinarian to the general in corpses” - such slogans are written on posters.

However, the slogans were not caught in the eyes and the presence of a truck with riot police fighters who did not become at all pickets and rallies. Surprised by a large number of young people who carefully recorded on amateur video cameras of all participants in the action and journalists present there.

Among the group of Ingush with posters, a human rights activist, chairman of the Moscow Helsinsky group Lyudmila Alekseeva stood out. She came to the Griboedov monument, leaning on a stick. “I gave myself a vow for street events not to walk in winter, it is already difficult for me. But I think this is a very important point. In Ingushetia, they were so happy that the president shifted Medov from this post. Of course, to decide whether he is guilty or not guilty of the murder of Yevloev, but people consider him guilty of this murder, and the case is still investigated. And in such a situation, the appointment of Medov in Moscow with an increase is an insult to those people who consider him a killer, ”said Alekseeva.

To the question of how today in Ingushetia relate to the now former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, the leader of the Ingush opposition Magomed Khazbiev answered without hesitation: “The attitude is negative. This person cannot live in the republic and will not be able to come and live calmly on this earth. I think his appointment is a spit towards the Ingush people. ” The rally on Chistoprudny Boulevard passed without any excesses and lasted no more than an hour.
