In turn, Israel intends to request the assistance of the EU in the suppression of the supply of weapons to gas. The Kol Israel radio station reports that at the end of this meeting, it is expected to sign an agreement on the fight against smuggling of weapons in gas, adds Newsru Israel .
At the same time, it was announced that Egypt intends to convene an international conference on the restoration of the GAZ sector. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Franco Frattini following a meeting in Cairo with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
Explaining the initiative of Egypt, Frattini noted that the conference involves the participation of representatives of the UN, the EU, the World Bank, Norway, which is the country of "donors" of the Palestinian autonomy, and Italy, which now presides the "big eight".

Frattini noted that the forum is supposed to affect a number of important political issues related to the Middle East region.
Meanwhile, the Hamas Government, which controls the gas sector, announced on Wednesday to resume the daily work of all civilian ministries and departments interrupted during the Israeli military operation. This was announced by the official representative of the Cabinet of Ministers Taher al-Nun, who is quoted by the Arab media.
According to him, the Government of Prime Minister Ismail Khania continues to work, despite the fact that "almost all government objects were destroyed during aggression." The main efforts of the Cabinet of Ministers will be aimed at restoring the infrastructure of the gas sector.

The Israeli operation lasted three weeks. During this time, 1.3 thousand Palestinians died in the gas sector, half of which women and children. During the conflict, 13 Israelis were also killed.
