In the Rostov region, a large theft of water was revealed - the amount of damage, according to preliminary estimates, is nine million rubles. The theft is accused of the municipal enterprise "Vodokanal" of the Kamenolonsk city settlement of the Oktyabrsky district. Its director faces criminal prosecution.

OJSC Water Holding Don South on its website states that its experts revealed devices on the stopper of the water metering unit at 15 water meters of the Vodokanal enterprise.

Devices for the stopper of the work of water meters were installed so professionally that the visual inspection did not give results. Only a thorough examination inside the collection camera revealed violations of the operation of the water meter.

As indicated on the site, according to the testimony of water meters from 2004 to 2008, the consumption of water of the Kamenolonsk direction was 80 thousand cubic meters per month. In reality, Don VK South released almost twice as much.

Where unaccounted water disappeared, now you can guess - most likely, it was sold unaccounted for consumers, the report said.

The first deputy general of Don VK South Nikolai Stukalov, in connection with the theft, emphasized that Valery Pogodin, director of Valery Pogodin, has repeatedly received warnings of personal responsibility for water consumption in a larger volume than indicated on the meters.

"I believe that it was a planned, technically equipped and organized criminal group. A similar large -scale check is now being prepared at the Zernograd branch," Stukalov said.

At the same time, according to RIA Novosti , Pogodin himself commented on the accusations: "You never know what they say. They have water, no one cares." He did not agree with the statements of the holding leadership and said that for his part he did not intend to blame anyone.

Valery Pogodin insists on resolving all the controversial issues in a pre -trial manner.

The agency adds that Don VK South is now preparing materials to transfer them to the internal affairs bodies and the prosecutor's office and will seek forced collection of debt for the consumed water.
