L'Espresso: CIA aircraft were used to illegal drug transportation

The Italian weekly L'Espresso published an article in which he accused the CIA of the fact that on the same aircraft belonging to American intelligence, they transported not only those suspected of a base in Guantanamo, but also drugs from Columbia in the United States.

According to the publication, for several years the CIA aircraft made secret flights between North America and the areas of cultivation or drug transit.

It turned out to be involved in the drug scandal and the United Nations. In particular, according to the publication, during the investigation it turned out that for many years the UN Agency for Combating Nations Office ON DRUGS and CRIME), based in Vienna, tapped and diminished data about the volume of drug production in the world, writes Inopressa .

So, according to the UN, the annual production of cocaine is 600 tons. At the same time, according to the Libera Association, such a number of drugs is produced in Colombia in just one month. The data of Italian antimatia organizations also refute the UN statistics: only the Italian mafia of the Camorra and Ndranget import up to 600 tons of drugs annually to Europe.

The most interesting thing is that the data of the Vienna Agency practically coincide with the data of the American State Department. This can be explained by the fact that in the USA in 2000 a “Columbia Plan” was adopted, which cost the Americans $ 4.5 billion. This plan provided for the conduct of secret and open military operations, the destruction of plantations of drug -containing plants and the cultivation of replacement plants.

The provision of reliable data on the forecast and real level of cocaine production would mean recognition in the failure of this plan and inappropriate expenditure of American taxpayers, the weekly writes. Objective data, apparently, are 3-4 times higher than the UN estimates and 4-5 times-the assessments of the US State Department.

By the way, in 2005, the US Senate Commission in its conclusion also wrote that the lack of specific evidence in the war against drugs is confused, taking into account billions of dollars, which Congress allocated since 2000 to combat drugs and eradication of landings. According to the publication, among the signing the document was the former Senator from Illinois, and now US President Barack Obama.

As examples of suspicious flights, the publication gives a disaster on September 24, 2007. Then the Gulfstream II business class plane flew over the territory of Mexico towards the border with the United States. The pilots, realizing that the fuel at the end, requested landing. As it turned out later, they were not stopped even by the fact that there was a load with 126 cocaine suitcases with a total weight of 3.3 tons. Perhaps the rapid fuel consumption was connected just with overload.

The plane was not given landing at two airfields - in Cancun and Merid. When the fuel ended, the aircraft collapsed on the Yukatan peninsula. The pilots who were on board were saved. After a few hours, the military overtook the fugitives. The pilots immediately demanded to contact the US consulate.

As installed later, Gulfstream flew out of Rionogro in Colombia. The N987SA onboard number was found in two lists at once. In the period from 2002 to 2004, Gulfstream made 18 flights between Great Britain, Ireland, France, as well as, according to American sources, between the USA and Guantanamo. Before the crash in Mexico, the aircraft belonged to firms involved in the illegal business with Colombia or completed the tasks of the government.

On December 16, 2008, at the Mexican state of Sonor, at the border with the United States, seven aircraft equipped for processing landings were also arrested. These aircraft should not be in this area. They were intended for conducting operations to combat Koki plantings in Colombia.
