The President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation Valentin Piseev denied information about the return of the Olympic champion to the male single skating of Yevgeny Plushenko for amateur ice.
At the Figure Skating Championship among juniors in the Bulgarian capital, Piseev said in an interview with ITAR-TASS that no official documents on Plushenko’s return to the federation were received.
The only thing he heard is the statement of the St. Petersburg skater, which Eugene made to journalists at demonstrations in the Czech Republic.
“It will be possible to talk about the return of Evgeny Plushenko to amateur ice only after his speeches at the All -Russian competitions, refusing demonstrations and restoring the normal training regime,” the Russian Figure Square Federation emphasized.
Recall that the 2006 Olympic champion, three -time world and five -time European champion in male solitary skating said that with the beginning of the next season it would again take part in competitions.
According to Plushenko, he trains in full force, working out unique combinations. He plans to go to amateur ice after a three -year break in September.
