Alexander Kozlov became the new governor of the Oryol region

Alexander Kozlov was approved by the new governor of the Oryol region. Immediately after the deputies of the regional council unanimously supported his candidacy, the inauguration of the new head of the region began in Orel, RIA Novosti reports.

Alexander Kozlov, previously Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, was proposed to the post of Oryol governor on February 16 . Then Dmitry Medvedev during the "presidential rotation" announced the change of four chapters of the regions at once.

Alexander Kozlov was born on May 2, 1949 in the village of Sentovo, Verkhnensky District of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1979 he graduated from the Kazan Financial and Economic Institute named after Kuibyshev with a degree in economist. In 1968-1984 he worked in the control and audit bodies of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1984-1989 he held various positions in the Ministry of Finance of the USSR. In 1989-1991 he was an inspector, then the leading inspector of the department of planned and financial authorities of the People’s Control Committee of the USSR.

In 1991, he headed the Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Budgetary Financial Control of the USSR Control Chamber. In 1991-1992 he headed the department of the state audit of the control department of the Presidential Administration, then held the position of deputy head of the control department of the Presidential Administration.

In 1992-1996 he held various positions in the apparatus of the Government of the Russian Federation.
