According to the publication in the press service of the Astrakhan governor, the destruction of hemp, according to Alexander Zhilkin, may become one of the types of public works.

"This is one of the anti -crisis measures, the priority of which is the employment of the unemployed and social orientation. We, according to the governor, should bloom during the crisis, therefore, as part of the social partnership between the authorities and farmers, hemp will be destroyed. According to her, it is planned to use the unemployed, including former drug addicts and prisoners, on public work to destroy hemp. It is assumed that their salary will amount to 5 thousand rubles a month, of which 4300 rubles will be provided with a federal treasury, and 700 rubles - municipal budgets. In total, it is planned to spend 350 million rubles of federal funds for public work in the Astrakhan region.
