The wife of the President of the Russian Federation Svetlana Medvedeva took part in the Maslenika Gulyans in Krylatskoy, organized for pupils of the capital's orphanages. Together with the children, the first lady drove round dances and sang songs, writes RIA Novosti .
The charity children's holiday "Merry Maslenitsa in Krylatskoy" was organized by the Fund of Socio-Cultural Initiatives together with the Directorate of International Programs, the Department of Family and Youth Policy of Moscow and the LATA-Track sports and ecological complex specifically for pupils of nine orphanages and boarding schools of the capital, as well as Martha-Mariinsky offenders.
In these Maslenies, who took the open air, more than 100 orphans took part. After a walk, the president’s wife, along with the children, tasted in a festive tent, broken on Krylata hills, a traditional Pancake week - Russian pancakes with honey, sour cream, jam and hot tea. For a tea party, Medvedeva looked after the children, helped them cut pancakes, asked them how they like the holiday and treat, and also offered and the first sang the Russian folk song "Oh, frost, frost, not frost of me ...".
"A good tradition is to meet Shrovetide!" - with pleasure noted the wife of the head of state and the children happily supported her. Funny festivities ended with wires of winter - a symbolic burning of a scarecrow of Shrovetide. "Goodbye, winter!" - shouted with the children of Medvedev, and everyone sang in chorus: "Gori-gori is clear that it would not go out!"
At the end of the holiday, the president’s wife handed the children gifts - packages with puzzles and sweets, and also gave autographs to all those who wish to boys and girls. In turn, the organizers of the charitable campaign gave her a bouquet of roses and a box of sweets, where the inscription was posted with chocolate letters: "Svetlana Vladimirovna, congratulations on Shrovetide!"
