The classic of Hungarian cinema Peter Bacho died

The famous Hungarian film director Peter Bacho died at the 82nd year of his life last night in Budapest. The details of the incident are not given. It is known that Bacho has recently been seriously ill, in particular, in June last year, health did not allow him to visit the Moscow Film Festival, where the world premiere of his painting "Almost Virgin" took place. In total, the director has more than 30 films shot, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the message of the Hungarian Union of Cinematography.

The classic of Hungarian cinema Peter Bacho - a philosopher in first education, in 1946 entered the directorial department of the newly opened film faculty of the Budapest Theater and Cinema. The director was mastered directly on the set, under the leadership of the experienced Gze Radwani, who attracted his students to create the film "Somewhere in Europe" (1947).

The first independent work of Bacho failed: the unfinished film "Pioneers", in which he acted as a screenwriter and artistic director, was recognized as an ideological mistake, the material disappeared in the bowels of the Hungarian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Bacho had to retrain as the scriptwriters, as an editor and co-author he took part in the creation of many Hungarian films of the 50-60s, including the most significant: “Anna Edesh” (1959, Fabreb), “Military Music” (1961, Andre Marton), “Two Taimes in hell” (1961, Factory).

He made his debut in directing in 1963 by a film about youth "Simple in the summer." In the two subsequent films “Bicycle in love” (1965) and “Summer in the Mountains” (1967), the director analyzes the life of the young, their way of thinking and form of behavior. In the film "A shot in the temple" (1968) the subject of analysis was a wave of suicides of young people.

In the filmography of Bacho, there are also paintings on acute -social topics: “Breakthrough”, “Present”, “Third attempt” and absurdity comedy line - “Witness” and “Again Witness”.

Bacho shot television films. In particular, in the late 70s, the stories of Vasily Shukshin, later united in the full-length film "Offensive" (1982), which was demonstrated in cinemas, filmed on television. Along with the directorial work, his activities of the organizer and the head of film production are also well known (since the beginning of the 60s - deputy artistic director of the Dialog studio, and from 1982 before retirement - its leader). He was awarded many honorary Hungarian awards and titles.
