One of the leaders of the European Action movement Vitaliy Pavlichenko, who was going to hold a protest on national television on the eve, said that the organizers decided to transfer the action.

Political scientists believe that the rain that had begun in the morning in the morning could influence the mood of those who wanted to arrange a protest of the opposition in the central square. According to local weather forecasters, rain can drag on until evening.

"We wanted to see what will happen on the central square of the city. Perhaps the rain and the calls of other opposition parties do not participate in the action that it does not take place," Pavlyuchenko said.

The Prime Minister of Moldova Zinaida Grekhanaya made an appeal to her parents and teachers with an appeal to prevent the participation of children in unlawful actions.

Recall that the protests of the opposition against the results of the parliamentary elections at which the ruling Communist Party won, held in the city center since Monday, April 6. On Tuesday, rallies grew into riots, the protesters arranged a pogrom in the building of the Moldova parliament and the working residence of the president. About 270 people were injured. The head of state accused the opposition of organizing a putsch, and the Prosecutor General’s Office opened the case under the article “an attempt to overthrow the authorities, the implementation of the coup”. More than 300 participants and pogrom initiators were detained.

The protest was attended by supporters and leaders of other opposition parties, as well as nationalists who demanded the accession of Moldova to Romania.
