Microsoft plans to invest 10 billion rubles in Russia for three years, Prime-Tass reports. As the general director of the company Steve Balmer said at a press conference in Moscow today, the incision will affect several directions: from increasing computer literacy of the population to the creation of new development centers.

The manufacturer in plans to open another center of innovation in Russia until the end of 2009 in addition to the current 10 centers. It is also planned to open the Microsoft technology center for research in advanced areas of information technology. Until 2012, the company will provide free software for 1 thousand Russian companies in the field of small businesses, ”Balmer assured.
