In terms of price growth, Russian retail has far outstripped European stores. Food products in our country are growing ten times faster than in Europe. Such data are provided today by Rosstat. They calculated that, on average, buyers in our country have to spend six percent more than at the beginning of the year. However, some products have broken all records. The growth leaders were fruits, they rose in price by twenty percent, for comparison, prices in Europe rose by only two percent. Sugar and sweets catch up with them. A tenth of the cost was added by seafood, in the EU countries, on the contrary, they fell in price.

A similar picture is observed on the meat counters. In addition, Rosstat employees found out that inflation repeats this picture. In Russia, it has amounted to six percent since the beginning of the year, while in the EU countries it is ten times less. Meanwhile, fuel prices continue to decline.

We add that, according to Rosstat, motor gasoline has fallen in price by ten percent since January. However, experts note that this figure differs markedly in different regions.
