Employees of the Department of Internal Security of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Department of Internal Security of the Moscow Main Internal Affairs Directorate detained an employee of the Moscow OMON who was trying to take out a large batch of ammunition for sale from the territory of the warehouse, Interfax reports with reference to the Moscow Main Internal Affairs Directorate.

The detained 56-year-old senior warrant officer served in the ranks of the OMON for more than 20 years. In recent years, he held the position of head of the weapons depot and, accordingly, had full access to weapons. He was detained while trying to take a large batch of TNT out of the OMON base. Employees of the DSB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the CSS of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Moscow, under the pretext of buying explosives, agreed on a price and made an appointment for him. However, it was dangerous to let him out with such a large batch of TNT outside the OMON base, so he was detained right at the checkpoint. Currently, the senior warrant officer has already been dismissed from law enforcement agencies. The investigation into the case is being conducted by the Investigative Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for the North-Western Administrative District.
