Lebedev does not want to buy independent

The Russian businessman and a former Soviet foreign intelligence officer, Alexander Lebedev, categorically denied the report that he was negotiating the purchase of an authoritative London newspaper Independent in an interview with the Air Force.

To the request to confirm the reliability of this information, Lebedev replied: "It is ridiculous to even comment."

When asked whether he is considering the possibility of buying Independent in the future, when the economic crisis ends, he said: "No, no, no, I do not consider."
