Matvienko invites Lukoil to move to St. Petersburg

Lukoil will continue to translate the company's units to St. Petersburg, its president Vagit Alekperov said, signing the protocol to the cooperation agreement between the company and St. Petersburg. 9 enterprises of the company have already been located in the city, and their number is planned to be increased, Interfax reports.

However, according to the head of Lukoil, the optimal work of the company in St. Petersburg requires its own building.

The governor of St. Petersburg Matvienko admitted that the city government is interested in building Lukoil to build a large office in St. Petersburg, with the advent of which "some more structures of Lukoil can be transferred to Petersburg." The company already controls 20% of the city gas station market.

Within the framework of the protocol signed on Tuesday, it is provided for the allocation of LUKOIL ”of two land plots with an area of ​​2-2.5 hectares each for the construction of gas stations. They will be located on federal routes.

In addition, the protocol contains the obligation of the oil company to transfer 3 billion rubles of taxes and fees to the budget of St. Petersburg in 2009.

The construction of a new office building for Lukoil may be superimposed on the story with the construction of Okhta Center. The inhabitants of St. Petersburg have not yet moved away from the scandal associated with the attempts of Gazprom to build a 396-meter skyscraper opposite the Smol Cathedral.

The Okhta Center project provides for the construction of a social-business region, the main element of which will be a conceptual skyscraper. It is assumed that the construction of the center will be fully completed by 2016. The project cost is 60 billion rubles.
