A gang of drug dealers was liquidated in the Russian Federation and Ukraine, a member of which was the world champion in kickboxing

Russian and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies neutralized the grouping of drug dealers who transported cocaine from Latin America to Eastern Europe. Among the participants of the gang was the world champion in kickboxing.

The activities of the international criminal group engaged in the sale of cocaine were stopped by the employees of the Federal Service for Monitoring the Illegal Training of Drugs (FSKN) of Russia together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Interfax reports.

“The operation lasted several months,” explained Vasily Rogozin, the deputy head of the FSKN operational -search department. “It was possible to install everyone who was involved in drug trafficking.”

As a result of operational measures, it became known about the intention of drug addicts to acquire a large batch of cocaine in St. Petersburg and transfer it for sale to Ukraine. "Cocaine came from Latin America to St. Petersburg, and from there he was transferred to the central regions of Ukraine, in particular, to Kyiv and the Kyiv region," Rogozin said.

Also, operatives were able to stop a deal in St. Petersburg on the implementation of a large batch of drugs - almost 5 kilograms of cocaine worth 13 million rubles. "The citizen of Ukraine, the leader of the Donetsk organized criminal group, previously repeatedly convicted," said Rogozin. " Two other active members of the group were also captured, and among them was a Russian citizen who won the title of world and European kickboxing champion. In total, 5 people involved in the activities of the gang were detained in St. Petersburg.

“At the same time, seven members of this criminal group were detained in Ukraine,” Rogozin said. They have taken drugs and 3 pistols. In addition, FSKN employees discovered money from the detainees - 13 million rubles. Some of these funds were stored in a bank cell in St. Petersburg. Money "seized in the income of the state", ITAR-TASS reports.

According to detectives, the international criminal group established a smuggling channel through which cocaine came from Latin America to St. Petersburg, and then redirected to Ukraine.

The representative of the FSKN said that for the successful special operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine will award four employees of the Federal Drug Control Service. In turn, the management of the service decided to award five employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
