The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation plans to resume Su-24 flights by the end of the week

It is expected that flights of front-line bombers of the Su-24 of the Russian Air Force will resume by the end of the current week. This was announced on Tuesday by the head of the flight security service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Sergei Baynetov. According to him, the cause of the Su-24 accident in the Rostov region, due to which the flights were suspended, established-a refusal in the wing control system.

"In the coming days, experts will complete the decryption of an on -board self -script from a crashed aircraft, and the flights of the bombers will be resumed," Bainetov said. According to him, the accident occurred due to the refusal in the system for managing the mechanization of the rotation of the Su-24 wing, Interfax reports.

Baynetov explained that a wing with variable geometry was installed on the Su-24. There is a flight position with an arrow of 45 degrees, the runway is 16 degrees. "The refusal occurred just in the control system for the rotation of this wing. And therefore, the pilots could not land, because in accordance with regulatory documents, landing is carried out only with the wing in the run of the runway," Baynetov specified.

"The pilots completed the entry, but they were banned by landing, because this is not provided for by the guide for flight operation," he added.

Su -24M - serial bomber, adopted in 1974. The maximum flight speed at an altitude of 11 km is 1430 km/h (M -1,35), near the ground - 1320 km/h, a practical ceiling - 11000 meters. The combat radius of action near the Earth (at a speed of 900 km/h) with a normal mass load - 390 km, with suspended fuel tanks - 570 km.

Armament-a built-in six-barreled 23-mm gun GSh-6-23m, controlled missiles of the air-to-surface class, air-air, adjustable bombs.

In total, about 1,200 Su-24 aircraft of all modifications were built. By 2000, the Air Force of the Russian Air Force had 672 Su-24 aircraft of three modifications.

By the decision of the General Committee of the Air Force, Colonel General Alexander Zelin, the flights of front-line bombers Su-24 were suspended.

On June 17, the Su-24 aircraft crashed in the Murmansk region. The pilots were baptized and survived. The Su-24 fell in the Murmansk region also performed a planned flight. He fell into the runway of the Monchegorsk airfield and burned down.

Over the past six months, three accidents of the Su-24 aircraft of the Russian Air Force have occurred, taking into account what happened in December 2008. Then the pilots also managed to catapult and remained alive.
