THEATERS
"Stories of Shukshin". Directed by Alvis Hermanis (Latvia). Starring Chulpan Khamatova, Evgeny Mironov, Yulia Svezhakova, Yulia Peresild. The performance is based on ten stories by Vasily Shukshin. Alvis Hermanis showed the distance we all have from each other: he and his Latvian artist Monika Pormale from Russia, the Moscow actors from the residents of the village of Srostki, all of us from rural life in the 60s. But, probably, it was precisely this distance and detachment, which he carefully maintained in his production, that helped him stage a performance that was much more Russian than that of most domestic directors. MOVIE
"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (USA, 2009). Directed by Michael Bay. Continuation of the super blockbuster about the confrontation between giant robots on the sinful earth. The Autobots (but you don’t need to ask who they are and why they eat them) led by Optimus Prime continue to destroy the army of Decepticons, but everything can change in a moment if an artifact that can return them to their former power falls into the metal paws of these same Decepticons . And this artifact, of course, is in the possession of the hero of the first part, Sam (Shia Labief). An attraction that rumbles and scatters shreds through the back streets, has little to do with the art of cinema in its usual sense, but promises to become the box office leader by the end of the year - most likely the $300 million mark. “Revenge of the Fallen” will overcome without any difficulty. Also starring Megan Fox, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Rainn Wilson, Isabel Lucas, Tyrese Gibson and Peter Cullen. “Five Stars on Paveletskaya” 18.30, 19.10, 19.55, 21.20, 22.00, 22.45, 0.10, 0.50, “Boomerang on Varshavskaya” 18.00, 19.00, 20.00, 21.00, 22.00, 23.00, 0.00, 1.00, 2.00 , “Karo-Film Atrium » 18.00, 19.15, 19.30, 20.55, 22.15, 22.25, 23.50, 1.10, 1.20, “October” 18.05, 19.15, 19.45, 19.55, 20.25, 21.00, 22.10, 22. 40, 22.50, 23.20, 23.55, 1.05, 1.35, 1.45, 2.15, “Karo-Film on Vernadsky” 18.15, 19.00, 19.30, 19.50, 21.05, 21.50, 22.20, 22.40, 23.55, 0.40, 1.10, 1.30, “Cinema Center on Krasnaya Presnya” 18.00, 19.00 , 20.00, 20.50, “Luxor in Otradny" 18.10, 18.50, 19.30, 20.30, 21.00, 21.50, 22.30, 23.20, 23.55, "Cinema Star Yerevan Plaza" 18.30, 19.10, 20.40, 21.20, 22.00, 0.10, inema-Park on Oktyabrsky Pole" 18.50, 19.30 , 20.10, 21.40, 22.20, 23.00, 0.30, 1.10, “Formula Cinema Europe” 18.40, 19.20, 19.40, 20.30, 21.50, 22.50, 23.40, 0.55, 1.00, 1.55.
“Drummer” (Hong Kong - Taiwan - Germany, 2007). Directed by Kenneth Bee. Sid (the son of Jackie Chan himself - Jaycee Chan), the heir to the boss of a powerful Hong Kong gang (Tony Leung Ka Fai - the national Hong Kong film prize "Golden Horse" for best supporting role), with his irrepressible love, brought confusion into the relations of the gangs and was forced to leave It would be a shame to go to Taiwan. There, in the mountains, Sid joins a community of Buddhist drummers and, armed with sticks, radically changes both his views on life and life itself. A most enjoyable film, the genre of which is quite difficult to determine (if there is one at all). The first Hong Kong film to be included in the competition program of the Sundance Independent Film Festival - apparently, this is the definition that describes it best. Also starring Angelica Lee, Roy Cheung, Josie Ho, Kenneth Tsang, Glen Chin and Eugenia Yuan. “35 MM” 17.00, 21.00.
