The first Russian application as part of the Microsoft AppStars program was the Voice Castle under Windows Mobile

The first Russian application in the new Microsoft AppStars promising development program was the Voicepin solution to the Center for Speech Technologies (CTS). It is intended for biometric authorization by voice on mobile devices, reports PC Week .

The Voicepin program was created on the basis of biometric technology for verification by Voice Key, developed in the Central Bank. It allows you to install a biometric "voice lock" on any device with Windows Mobile OS and can be integrated with any user applications: e-mail, SMS service, files and folders.

After that, a voice password can be used to identify the user instead of conventional passwords and PIN codes. According to the developers, identification is confirmed for several seconds. At the same time, this function is resistant to noise and works reliably in any conditions: on the street, in office premises, on transport.

The AppStars project started in early 2009. According to Microsoft representatives, its goal is to demonstrate possible business products compatible with the Windows Mobile system. Before included in the project register, the products are careful, during which it turns out whether the declared functionality really corresponds to the wishes of users of mobile devices and will be in demand on the market.

Among the products that have received a positive assessment today, decisions are presented for organizing remote access to data, organizing distance sales and interaction with CRM/ERP systems, as well as mobile navigators and various useful utilities-only 25 products.
