According to the investigation, the leader of the gang is a resident of Mordovia Sergey Deniskin. Using prepared, repeatedly convicted criminals, he "involved a significant circle of persons in the orbit of criminal activity, ranging from antisocial elements to representatives of the authorities."

On Deniskin's conscience "17 especially serious crimes, of which 9 murders, 3 abductions of a person and 5 robberies."

The right hand of the leader of the criminal group and the active participant in the South-West was his relative, previously convicted by Stanislav Vekkenszin. "Both of them were put on the international wanted list and detained."
