
The unprecedented, according to the New Region agency, the case occurred in Pervouralsk: the court fined a local resident for insulting on a social network.
According to the press service of the Pervouralsky City Court, a 23-year-old resident of Pervouralsk inflicted an insult to his opponent on the popular website "Odnoklassniki". During the court hearing, it was found that she had inflicted an insult, expressed in extremely indecent form, in the media - that is, publicly humiliated the honor and dignity of another person.
So, on February 10 and 13, a citizen of Kazantseva, using the user's page with fictional data, posted messages on the page of another social network user, in which in an extremely negative form she insulted, commenting on the appearance and marital status of the user, using obscene expressions.
As a result, the victim applied to the city Internal Affairs Directorate with a statement on bringing to criminal liability of an unknown person who marked her information defaming on the site, which became accessible to a wide range of people. When sentencing, the nature and degree of public danger were taken into account and it was recognized that the crime committed belongs to the category of minor gravity.
The court found the offender guilty of committing a crime provided for in paragraph 2 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("insults contained in a public speech, publicly demonstrated work or media") and sentenced a fine of 5 thousand rubles.
In addition, the court granted a lawsuit to compensate for non -pecuniary damage in the amount of 10 thousand rubles in favor of the victim, as well as reimbursing the costs of paying for the services of a representative. At the moment, the verdict has already entered into legal force.
