An assassination attempt on the head of the Malgobek region was prevented in Ingushetia

In one of the settlements of the Malgobek district of Ingushetia, on Friday, unidentified persons planted an improvised explosive device on the route of the head of the district administration Abdul-Vagap Dambulatov, Interfax reports citing a law enforcement source. Explosives were found the day before at about 21.00 on the side of the road 30 meters from the official's household.

"The OMON officers who arrived at the scene cleared the explosive device by detonating it on the spot," the source said.

In addition, in the municipal district of Barsuki of the city of Nazran, on the night of Saturday, unknown people fired from grenade launchers and small arms at the house of an OMON officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia.

"As a result of the shelling, which took place at 3.00 am, there were no victims or injured. However, the OMON soldier's household was seriously damaged. Several cars that were nearby were also damaged," a source in the Ingushetian Interior Ministry said.
