During the crisis, the total amount of loans in retail retail chains was reduced by more than 30%, to 60 billion rubles, although previously the average annual level of sales on credit was almost 28% of the total sales.
So, in the network of “Svyaznoy” stores , the volume of sales of the GSM standard on credit fell in the first half of 2009 relative to the first half of 2008 in ruble terms by 13% and made up 17.86% from the total sales.
In the Euroset, according to BFM.ru , the share of digital cameras and cell phones sold on credit in 2008 amounted to 21.4%in commodity revenue (in the first quarter of 2009 this indicator was about 17%, in the second quarter - 19%).
The average price of the camera sold on credit in July amounted to 6219 rubles, the phone - 7405 rubles. About 95% of sales on credit was on phones (in piece and ruble terms).
"The volume of sales of goods on credit was also facilitated by the fact that some banks completely stopped issuing loans, some tightened the requirements and significantly reduced the percentage of loans approval," said Andrei Sokolsky, senior vice president of Alfa Bank.
For example, in the fall of 2008, the Renaissance Credit bank temporarily suspended lending, because in connection with the financial crisis, past mechanisms for determining credit risk ceased to work, said the chairman of the board of this bank, Alexei Levchenko. But in mid -spring, the bank felt more confident, and, having resumed cooperation with the "coherent", returned to retail networks.
The conditions for loans at the bank "Renaissance Credit" remained at the level of 2008: the client can take on credit the amount of 3 to 100 thousand rubles for a period of 6 to 12 months. Interest rate - from 44% to 69% per annum. Only one condition has changed, namely, if earlier the initial contribution was not required, now it is necessary. Its size can be from ten or more percent of the cost of the goods.
Retail networks are interested in increasing the volumes of express credit, in which a significant drop in sales is now observed. So, according to the Euroset marketing department, in the first six months of this year 10.49 million cell phones were sold in Russia, which is 36% less than in the first half of 2008.
