“Tangled in Love” (Germany, 2009). Directed by Leandre Haussman. Vera Ivanovna Preobrazhenskaya. “The permanent head of formalism.” Vera Preobrazhenskaya is a member of the famous “Belyutin Studio”, which later became known as “New Reality”, a participant in the 1st exhibition of Russian abstractionists - Taganskaya (1962), the famous exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Moscow Union of Artists, and the meeting of artists with Nikita Khrushchev in the Manege in 1962 year. "The Fall of the Berlin Wall." By 1989, the Berlin Wall had turned into a multi-kilometer exhibition of graffiti, some of it highly artistic. The famous images of the Trabant, the car that is the symbol of the GDR, the “historical kiss” of Brezhnev and Honecker, and the portrait of Gorbachev became known throughout the world. After the destruction of the wall, its fragments quickly turned into historical art objects that found their home in different countries. Small parts of the wall were preserved as a monument for subsequent generations. Numerous documentary photographs presented at the exhibition documented both the construction process of the wall and its destruction. Many of them, such as Anthony Svo's series, have traveled around the world. Documentary video materials, interviews with eyewitnesses and the films “Sky over Berlin” (Wim Wenders, 1987), “Trail of Stones” (Frank Bayer, 1966), “Silence after the Shot” (Volker Schlöndorff) help to reconstruct the mood and state of Berlin in the 1960s-1980s , 1999), short films “Berlin Wall” and My Wall (2008). Collection and archive of Vadim Zakharov. The first exhibition of the series “The Artist’s Collection” introduces the creative practice of the artist Vadim Zakharov as a collector, publisher, and archivist of the domestic artistic process, mainly such a phenomenon as the Moscow conceptual school. "American Artists from the Russian Empire". The exhibition presents a wide range of artists from several generations who found themselves in America in the first half of the twentieth century. Most of the works by 40 authors are being shown in Russia for the first time. The exhibition will show both a cross-section of “Russian artistic America” and its most prominent personalities. The time range of the project extends from 1913 (Max Weber’s cubo-futuristic canvas “Interior of the Fourth Dimension”) to 1978, when Alexander Liberman created an object made of bright red steel “Model for Elevation”.
