
The new weekly program "Church and Mir" will be released since September this year on the Vesti television channel, the host of the program is the chairman of the department of external church ties of the Moscow Patriarchate (MPC MP) Archbishop Ilarion, RIA Novosti reports.
"The program dedicated to the current events of church and public life is built on the principle of the television journal: spectators will be able to recognize the most important news weekly, get to know first -hand with a church look at the key problems of our time," the information service of the MPC MP says.
In addition to television portions, the program will include the headings "Orthodox Dictionary" and "Monthly", from which viewers will be able to learn about the meaning of the basic concepts of the Orthodox vocabulary, about church holidays and days of memory of saints.
In the program, Archbishop Ilarion will regularly answer the questions of viewers. You can ask him a question on the program website at www.vera.vesti.ru , as well as on the page of the magazine "Neskuchny Garden" .
The first issue of the program, dedicated to the beginning of the school year, is devoted to the introduction of a compulsory subject "Fundamentals of religious culture and secular ethics" in schools.
