The British newspaper Guardian in a commentary on the article “The Skip of New Obam” is wondering whether all black politicians should call the name of the American president. The article itself was written by Chuk Umunna.

The British politician recalls cases when he was called Obama. According to him, on the one hand, it is pleasant, on the other hand, a little annoying. To the question: "Are you British Barack Obama?" - Labor replies that he is glad to be a chuke of Umuna from Strythham.

The author of the article notes that due to the similar origin and profession, the comparison of his and Obama is obvious. He also writes that he understands the position of the media: since there are much fewer black politicians than white, and there are practically no one to compare with them.

Umunna notes that the election of Obama to the post of US President had a positive effect on the political activity of the black population of Great Britain, which in terms of number takes tenth place in the world.
