The leadership of the Communist Party wanted to keep the decision made on the congress as long as possible - until September 15, when Voronin officially announces his care. It disputes the legality of the election of a new speaker from the ranks of the opposition, and it is one thing when behind a controversial business is a person who was 8 years old, and quite another - when he is a politician who no longer has any real levers of influence. But by the evening of September 2, it became useless to hide the obvious and the party announced the statement of Voronin himself: “I strongly do not accept the path along which they want to lead the country. I go to parliament as an ordinary deputy. ” The leader of the AEI of the Alliance "Our Moldova" Serafim Ureyan in an interview with The New Times called the decision of Voronin to leave "his only prudent step over the past 8 years." Immediately after the official resignation, the acting head of state in accordance with the Moldavian constitution will be the speaker of the parliament, chairman of the liberal party Mikhai Gimp. But the GIMPU will lead the country only until the moment when the deputies elect the new president. Under these conditions, Lupa announced the need to "cut by 20–25% of the salary to state employees." “It is necessary to reform and combine the system of social protection of citizens and provide pensions,” he said.
