
At the village of Kizilyurt (Dagestan), in the direction of Makhachkala, a commodity train consisting of eight wagons sailed from the rails, there are no victims, Interfax reports.
“About two in the morning on Monday were registered with building materials, eight wagons were registered from the rails,” the representative of the Republican Ministry of Emergencies told the agency.
According to him, during the accident, about 150 meters of the railway track were destroyed. As a result of the emergency, the movement of several passenger trains was detained, including Rostov - Baku, Tyumen - Baku and Astrakhan - Makhachkala.
The operational group of the Republican Ministry of Emergencies left for the scene.
"The train went off the rails as a result of the destruction of the embankment under the railway, its destruction was caused by storm rains. The operational group of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in Dagestan and emergency recovery brigades is operating at the scene of the accident," the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of RIA Novosti said.
