The Russian Sberbank can sell its share in Opel to Gaza or, in the absence of a Russian industrial partner, Vnesheconombank - such an opportunity is laid down in a transaction on the purchase of a German car manufacturer of the Canadian Magna and the Russian Sberbank, the president of the largest Russian bank German Gref said.
“We do not consider this investment as a strategic one. After the formation of a sustainable industrial partner on the transaction on the side of Russia, we will be ready to sell this package to it. In accordance with the terms of the transaction, we have the right to sell the shares of shares without agreement on the transaction of the company GAZ and Vneseconobank,” Gref said in an interview with Reuters.
“Of course, we, first of all, are interested in the package to cross the industrial partner. After the transaction is completed, we will begin to actively create this partner in Russia. The option that, in principle, can be used: if there are any problems if we do not find an industrial investor, the package may go to VEBU,” Gref explained.
He clarified that under the terms of the Sberbank transaction, he is not limited by the deadlines in the search for an industrial partner.
