SENTYABER Nights in GAISH

In September, in clear evenings, in the courtyard of the Sternberg (GAISH) State Astronomical Institute, there was a line, as in the mausoleum. Only more fun. The Hamisans invited everyone to look at the sky with an armed eye.

Clear weather did not always fall out, but about a third of the evenings stars shone over Gaisha to the delight of the joy. And there were a lot of them! On September 3, Gaish accepted more than 1000 people! Fortunately, astronomy lovers came to the rescue of the Gaisans, who arranged their telescopes in the courtyard of the institute. In all observation evenings (and even when, due to the poor forecast of observation, Moscow lovers were at the post. But the main magnet was telescopes on the roof of the GAISH (although, we note, amateur people are not at all inferior to small roof tools). For September evenings, more than 5,000 people looked at them. For most, this was the first experience. And, damn it, so nice to feel like Galileo for the first time, seeing the lunar craters, the satellites of Jupiter and the beautiful Albireo with his own eyes!
